My family have a little ‘Shack’ in east Gippsland, Victoria. It’s a humble abode tucked into the forest near Mt Moornapa. The surroundings offer endless inspiration for my artwork. GIPPSLAND No.3 was created early January 2020 when fire tore through many parts of Australia. Areas of East Gippsland were caught in the chaos. Here, just outside Briagolong, although spared from fire the landscape was dry and parched beyond belief.
